Pre-qualifying

Four pre-qualifying events have been announced for the 2005 Open de France with 277 players taking part at four different venues. the qualifiers from the four venues will go forward to the final qualifying event at the Chantilly golf course for one of the 16 spots up for grabs for 2005 Open de France.

Pre-qualifying will take place at the following courses:

64 registered players - The Fontcaude Golf club - pre-qualifying - Tuesday May 3rd

85 registered players - The Stade Français Courson Golf club - pre-qualifying - Sat May 7th

79 registered players - The Hardelot Golf club - pre-qualifying - Tuesday May 17th

49 registered players - The Chiberta Golf club - pre-qualifying - Tuesday May 31st

At the end of these tournaments, 60 players will make it to the final qualifying tournament staged on Monday 20th of June at the Chantilly Golf club. Thirty other players, professional and amateurs, will be also competing thanks to an exempt status. This last tournament will be played as an 18 hole stroke-play event.
