The fifth edition of the Presidents Cup which was originally scheduled to take place in November next year, will be played November 18-23, 2003 in South Africa.

The Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup switched schedules in the wake of the terrorist attacks on the United States on September 11.

The event which will be held on The Links Course at the Fancourt Hotel and Country Club Estate in George, South Africa.

"In light of the recent attacks on the United States, we felt that moving the Presidents Cup to November 2003 would present the best scenario under which to play the event," said PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem.

"We would like to thank each of the individuals and organisations that have worked together over the past few weeks to accomplish these necessary scheduling adjustments."
