Patrick Reed is impressed with the DP World Tour, Hennie Du Plessis holed a monster and Jacob Skov Olesen's mind was at Old Trafford.
Here is everything you need to know from Moving Day at the 2026 Qatar Masters.
Reed expects quality challenge
Patrick Reed won in Dubai two weeks ago, was only denied in a play-off last week in Bahrain, and takes a two-shot lead into Sunday - but the American is taking nothing for granted having been impressed by the depth of the DP World Tour. Asked if anything can stop him adding another win to his tally, he said: “I mean, 68, 70 guys, however many guys made the cut. The fields are so talented as it is, and the depth is great, and anyone can go out and shoot a number. So the only thing I can think about tomorrow is going out and playing my game and trying to go as low as I can.”
Hennie from a hundred
Hennie Du Plessis left his move late on Moving Day. The South African was one over for his round until he finished it off in style with a 110-foot eagle putt that left him shaking his head in disbelief.
Lagergren shines from the sand
There was no repeat of Friday's rock-shifting exploits for Joakim Lagergren, much to caddie Jesse Karlsson's relief, but he found his share of unpleasant lies - not that this bunker was going to stop him putting it close for a birdie at the sixth.
Söderberg's superb 65
Lagergren's fellow Swede Sebastian Söderberg produced the lowest round of the day with a seven-under-par 65 to reach nine under and sit five shots off the lead and within three of second place. His tenth hole marked one of only three eagles on Saturday - joined by Calum Hill at the ninth and Du Plessis at the last - and Söderberg's round contained seven threes and a two. Well played Sebastian!
Watch the eyes...
Daniel Hillier hit his approach to the 15th out of what he described as "the biggest flyer lie you'll ever see" and admitted he was just "hoping for the best". It certainly worked out for him - and the man just behind him liked it right off the club face...
Olesen's football focus
Jacob Skov Olesen positioned himself as Reed's nearest challenger but after wrapping up his round of 68, he had another sport on his mind, asking for updates on Manchester United's Premier League clash with Tottenham. He was up to speed by the time he did his interview and when told they were 1-0 up - en route to an eventual 2-0 win - he replied with a laugh: "Yeah, I know, it's perfect. I'm happy!”
