Renton Laidlaw, whose lifelong love affair with golf evolved into his becoming television's voice of The European Tour on The Golf Channel, has been honoured with the 2003 PGA of America Lifetime Achievement in Journalism.
The 63 year old Scot was presented with the award by Mr M.G. Orender, President of the PGA of America, at the Golf Writers Association of America Awards Dinner at the Savanna Rapids Pavillion, Augusta during, the 2003 Masters Tournament at the Augusta National Golf Club.
