Romero to Defend The Barclays Scottish Open

Eduardo Romero of Argentina has confirmed that he is to return to Loch Lomond Golf Club to defend his title at The 2003 Barclays Scottish Open, which takes place from 10th to 13th July.

At 47, Romero became the third oldest winner in the history of The European Tour when a birdie three at the first play-off hole saw him defeat Sweden's Fredrik Jacobson to win The Barclays Scottish Open last year.

Romero said: "I am very much looking forward to returning to Loch Lomond to defend my title in The 2003 Barclays Scottish Open. The win meant a great deal to me and my family, and it is always a pleasure to play in this prestigious tournament."

Organisers of the £2.2 million Barclays Scottish Open today also announced a special ticket offer for spectators attending this year's event. If booked before 31st May, an adult season ticket can be purchased for the discounted price of £50.

This gives spectators access to the course for all five days of practice and championship play at a saving of over 50% on the standard daily admission rates. Spectators will also be able to take advantage of free parking at the course.

Full details of all daily admission and season ticket prices are available by calling the Ticket Hotline on 01436 65 55 59 or by sending an email to tournament@lochlomond.com
