England’’s Justin Rose captured his third victory of the year when he won The Crowns tournament in Japan with an emphatic five stroke victory over Thailand’’s Prayad Marksaeng.
Rose’’s win follows his maiden European Tour triumph in the dunhill championship in January followed by the Nashua Masters on the Sunshine Tour in South Africa.
Rose opened with an outstanding six under par 64 over the Wago Course at Nagoya Golf Club to take a share the first round lead. A level par 70 in the second round kept him at the head of field at the halfway stage but it was his third round of 63 which proved decisive as he pulled four strokes clear of the chasing pack. A closing 69, one under par, gave the 21 year old a 14 under par total of 266.
