Royal St George’s will measure 7106 yards for the 132nd Open Golf Championship from July 17-20, 246 yards longer than the course over which Greg Norman won the Claret Jug in 1993.
New tees have been constructed at the second, fourth, sixth, eighth, tenth, 11th, 12th and 13th holes and the 14th green has been moved back by 43 yards.
The pars of the holes are unchanged with the exception of the fourth, which has been lengthened by 29 yards and now plays as a par five. The overall par is 71.
