Ahead of their upcoming third album, the band released the hit single ‘When The Sun Comes Up’ featuring James Arthur in 2017, and their performance in May will be one of the band’s first UK-outings in 2018, joining Simple Minds – who will take the stage on Sunday night - as one of the headline acts at this year’s Championship.

After bursting on to the scene in 2012 with their Number One album ‘Home’, the Hackney quartet won the Brit Award and MOBO Award for Best Album in 2013 and have achieved Platinum awards for record sales in several countries after the release of their 2015 album ‘We The Generation’.

Fans can now book tickets to see some of the world’s best golfers in action at Wentworth, whilst also experiencing a spectacular 90-minute performance on Saturday night from Rudimental at the Show Stage here, followed by Simple Minds on Sunday evening after the final putt drops.

General admission tickets, onsite parking and grandstand seating for the 2018 BMW PGA Championship are available for exclusive early bird prices online until Wednesday January 31, as well as incredible hospitality packages overlooking the famous 18th green. An Afternoon Sessions ticket is also available to fans on both Saturday and Sunday for early bird prices, which allows general admission to the venue from 1pm to enjoy an afternoon of golf and live music.

Rudimental's DJ and frontman Leon Rolle, aka Locksmith, said: “We’re excited to take the stage at the BMW PGA Championship in May. We think it’s a great idea to combine a world-class sporting event with a live gig to cap off a great day out for the fans, so I’m sure the atmosphere on Saturday night will be awesome.”

Jamie Birkmyre, Championship Director of the BMW PGA Championship, said: “We can’t wait to welcome one of Britain’s most exciting bands in Rudimental to Wentworth in May for this year’s Championship.

“They will be the first drum and bass band to headline the BMW Show Stage, highlighting the diversity of acts we have seen over the last few years. The Festival favourites will appeal to fans of all ages, including the increasing number of families and casual golf fans the BMW PGA Championship attracts.”
