Expect the unexpected from Phil Mickelson. For years, the American has confounded logic with his imaginative short game and will to try just about any shot going. On the eighth today, Mickelson opted for driver off the deck...

Tiger Woods made bogey at the par three 12th on both Thursday and Friday, which makes his reaction to hitting the green today all the more understandable...

Hats off to American amateur, Doug Ghim. The only non-professional to make the cut, Ghim recorded his third eagle of the week and his second at the par five 13th.

Storylines
The Grand Slam is on the line. Rory McIlroy already has three of the Major Championships in his collection and he's 18 holes away from completing the set. He'll have to stage at least a three-shot fightback to catch Patrick Reed, but with history on the line, don't be surprised if the Northern Irishman makes it happen at Augusta.
Not since 2011 has a Masters winner been placed outside the top 20 in the Official World Golf Ranking. As World Number 24, Reed will hope to break that run. The Texan put in a gutsy display on Saturday to put himself in the driving seat and will face off with McIlroy for 18 more holes tomorrow in a bid to win his first Major.
Tommy Fleetwood started the day at level par and finished it six under and inside the top six. The 2017 Race to Dubai Champion made five birdies in a row from the 12th to the 16th to catapult him into contention at that point. With seven shots to make up, the Englishman will need a little luck to claim a maiden Major.

What they said...
Patrick Reed- "[on his 2016 Ryder Cup match with Rory McIlroy] It's probably one of the best matches we ever played. It was probably also one of the most exhausting matches we ever played."
Doug Ghim - "[on his Masters debut] That is probably the most honorable thing that I've done as a golfer. I mean I've had the opportunity to play on a Walker Cup team, Palmer Cup team, on a national championship with my team and play and finish second at the U.S. Amateur. But to be here and to play against the best players in the world is definitely a confidence boost moving forward."
Tiger Woods - "
[on hitting the green on the 12th for the first time this week] How about that? You know, I just couldn't do it three days in a row. I just couldn't do it. And I gave it a little bit more gas and made sure that I was long if I did miss and I hit a good one in there. And missed the putt, but, hey, you know, that's a lot easier to play the hole from the green than it is dropping."
