Following exceptionally heavy rain in the immediate vicinity of Kungsängen over the last six days, resulting in over 180 millimetres falling on the golf course, it has been decided, with regret, to cancel today's (Wednesday's) Shotgun Pro-Am competitions.
It is hoped that the decision to restrict traffic on the course, allied to slightly improving weather conditions, will enable the 2005 Scandinavian Masters by Carlsberg to start on time at 7.30am on Thursday morning.
The course will remain closed today and although competitors may walk the course and putt on the putting surfaces, they will be encouraged to keep this practice to a minimum. The players will have full access to the practice facilities all day.
