Slattery Tops First Re-Rank of the Season

Lee Slattery’s early season form ensured the Englishman moved to the top of The European Tour’s Category 11 standings after the first Re-Rank of the season at the conclusion of the Open de España.

Category 11 Members of The European Tour are the players finishing in positions 11-20 on the final 2007 European Challenge Tour Rankings as well as the successful graduates from the 2007 Qualifying School – Final Stage.

The top 20 Official Money winners from within Category 11 have been Re-Ranked in money order with the remaining 20 players following on in the order established at the start of the season.

Slattery was one of 30 players to win European Tour cards at the 2007 Qualifying School, and his outstanding early season form, that has seen him accumulate €115,553, ensured he is now the top ranked player within Category 11.

The 29 year old’s second place finish at the Alfred Dunhill Championship in South Africa, coupled with his top 20 performance at the Estoril Open de Portugal, ensured he moved to the top of the Re-Rank table, with South Africa’s James Kamte in second place and Scotland’s Peter Whiteford in third.

There is one further Re-Rank to come in 2008, on Monday, July 28.
