European Tour Members Ernie Els, Sergio Garcia and Padraig Harrington fine tuned their preparations for this week’s WGC – Accenture Match Play with strong finishes at the US PGA Tour’s Nissan Open.
Els shared third place, alongside Robert Allenbey and Jim Fuyrk, with a final score of 13 under par 271 at the Riviera Country Club in California, while Garcia and Harrington respectively took sixth and seventh place on 11 and ten under.
Charles Howell III of the USA took the title after a play-off with his compatriot Phil Mickelson.
