As Major season comes to a close with The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush, here is all the players of the DP World Tour's official fantasy game need to know.
The world's best have gathered in Northern Ireland this week for the fourth and final men's Major Championship of the season.
Much is expected of home favourite Rory McIlroy, while Shane Lowry will hope to harness the memories of his triumph at Portrush in 2019.
Scottie Scheffler will look to capitalise on his fine form across 2025 and land his fourth Major title, but there are a host of others harbouring strong ambitions this week.
No fewer than 11 DP World Tour members are teeing it up this week in their Open debuts, including rising French star Martin Couvra.
From insight into the week’s most-picked players among Fantasy managers, to our ones to watch, we run the rule ahead of Thursday’s deadline to pick your team.
Who are the most backed players?
Shouldering great expectation of more Major glory, McIlroy is the clear favourite among Fantasy managers, featuring in 73% of teams.
For the second week running, the entire top five selections are European Ryder Cup players, with McIlroy followed by Ludvig Åberg (55%), Viktor Hovland (50%), Lowry (42%) and Tyrrell Hatton (40%).
Who are our ones to watch?
Here, we pick out three players in action this week who are worth considering for your Fantasy team selections.
Favourite - Scottie Scheffler
While he didn't win in Scotland last week, the American's imperious form shows no sign of stopping. In each of his last ten starts worldwide he has finished in the top ten, including three titles. One of those came at the US PGA Championship, when he became a three-time Major winner. He has not missed a cut at a Major since the 2022 US PGA Championship and has played all four rounds at all 15 events he has played in this year. Across his four appearances at The Open so far, he has two top tens and a worse finish of tied 23rd.
Form Horse - Russell Henley
Known for his consistency of performance, the American has climbed into the world's top ten this year. While he did not play at the Genesis Scottish Open last week, he should be high in confidence after three top tens on the spin stateside. He gave easily the best performance of his ten visits to The Open when he finished fifth at Royal Troon last year, so could be getting accustomed to the challenge of links golf. With three of the last four winners at The Open hailing from the United States, could this year be his moment to claim a maiden Major?
Wild Card - Marco Penge
After an enforced absence from the game earlier in the season due to a breach of DP World Tour regulations, the Englishman has emerged as one of the stand-out performers on the DP World Tour. He claimed his maiden win at the Hainan Classic in April, with his performances over the Asian Swing earning him a spot at the US PGA Championship where he finished in a tie for 30th. But it was last week at the Genesis Scottish Open where he really shone as he finished in a tie for second behind Chris Gotterup at the Renaissance Club, lifting him to third on the Race to Dubai Rankings in the process. Now at a career-high 92nd in the world, he will be hoping to capitalise on the momentum he has built as he makes his third start at The Open after securing his spot through a third-place finish at the Investec South African Open, part of the Open Qualifying Series.

Looking back - Genesis Scottish Championship

Our Favourite - the World Number One Scottie Scheffler - finished in a tie for eighth, Form Horse Kristoffer Reitan was tied 13th, while our Wild Card Romain Langasque made it three from three to make the cut as he finished the week in a tie for 55th with a hole-in-one to boot.
