The DP World Tour members making their debut at the Masters

There are a great many firsts in a professional golfer's career but maybe none of them quite match the first trip down Magnolia Lane.

The Masters Tournament and Augusta National have developed an almost mythical appeal, with every golfer dreaming of standing on the tee at Tea Olive and hearing their name between "Fore please" and "Now driving".

In 2026, nine DP World Tour members will have that dream come true and here, we take a look at them.

Ryan Gerard

Age: 26
Official World Golf Ranking: 29
Career wins worldwide: 2022 Quebec Open (PGA TOUR Canada), 2024 BMW Charity Pro-Am (Korn Ferry Tour), 2025 Barracuda Championship (DP World Tour & PGA TOUR)

If there was proof of how sought-after a berth at the Masters is, the American demonstrated it by flying across two oceans to take his place at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open in December.

Taking advantage of his DP World Tour membership gained through winning the co-sanctioned Barracuda Championship last summer, he arrived at Heritage La Réserve Golf Links 57th in the Official World Golf Ranking.

With the top 50 in the final world ranking of the year earning Masters invitations, a big performance was required. And while he lost out on the title at the final event of the year to Jayden Schaper in a play-off, the result saw him climb to 46th and make the long journey from Florida well worth it.

He carried the momentum into the new year, finishing solo second and tied second across the opening two weeks of the PGA TOUR season, before a tie for 11th at the Farmers Insurance Open lifted him to a career-high 23rd in the world.

The 26-year-old, who progressed from the Korn Ferry Tour onto the PGA TOUR in 2024, is set for his fifth Major Championship appearance, with his best performance a tie for eighth on his US PGA Championship debut last year.

Chris Gotterup

Age: 26
Official World Golf Ranking: 11
Career wins worldwide: 2024 Myrtle Beach Classic (PGA TOUR), 2025 Genesis Scottish Open (DP World Tour & PGA TOUR), 2026 Sony Open in Hawaii, 2026 WM Phoenix Open (both PGA TOUR)

It's been a meteoric rise for the American over the last 12 months, having been ranked outside the world's top 200 when the Masters was held in 2025.

Since then, he has won three times - including twice in three starts on the PGA TOUR earlier this season - to become one of world golf's leading lights.

After his win at the WM Phoenix Open in February, he reached a career-high fifth and was the second highest-ranked American, behind only World Number One Scottie Scheffler.

While he first became a PGA TOUR winner through the opposite-field Myrtle Beach Classic in May 2024, he came to wider consciousness on this side of the Atlantic during a memorable fortnight on the UK links last summer.

Arriving at the Genesis Scottish Open - co-sanctioned by the PGA TOUR - 158th in the world he overcame a world-class field, including a final-round tussle with defending champion Rory McIlroy, to become a Rolex Series winner.

The victory secured him a debut at The Open Championship a week later, and he backed it up by finishing third at Royal Portrush and he will now complete the sweep of Major appearances.

Harry Hall

Age: 28
Official World Golf Ranking: 62
Career wins worldwide: 2021 Wichita Open, 2022 NV5 Invitational (both Korn Ferry Tour), 2024 ISCO Championship (DP World Tour & PGA TOUR)

Despite being born in Cornwall, England, he is perhaps just as well known by American fans.

A member of Great Britain & Ireland’s Walker Cup team in 2019, he has largely plied his trade stateside since turning professional later that year.

After winning twice on the Korn Ferry Tour across 2021 and 2022, he gained a PGA TOUR card for the 2022-23 season and has not looked back.

He won the ISCO Championship stateside in 2024, a result that offered him the chance to take up DP World Tour membership and it wasn’t long before he made his first start in the paid ranks on British shores.

Last year, though, he impressed further as he staked his claim for Ryder Cup selection, with five top tens on the PGA TOUR as he qualified for their season-ending Tour Championship – which is how he is exempt at Augusta.

Like several others highlighted here, the Masters marks the fourth and final Major he is ticking off, and he comes into it with two top tens to his name so far this year.

Casey Jarvis

Age: 22
Official World Golf Ranking: 70
Career wins worldwide: 2023 Euram Bank Open (HotelPlanner Tour), 2025 Hyundai Open, 2025 Vodacom Origins of Golf Final (both Sunshine Tour), 2026 Magical Kenya Open presented by absa (DP World Tour), 2026 Investec South African Open Championship (DP World Tour & Sunshine Tour)

With the exception of perhaps Gotterup, it is hard to think of many others who have had a better 2026 so far than the South African.

After a missed cut at the Qatar Masters in February, he fell to 200th in the world, but he has since proceeded to win twice and finish tied second across his next three starts on the DP World Tour.

A week after winning his maiden DP World Tour title at the Magical Kenya Open presented by absa, he won the Investec South African Open Championship to qualify for both this year’s Masters and The Open.

The 22-year-old then came close to joining Seve Ballesteros and Sir Nick Faldo as just the third player to win three consecutive DP World Tour events at the Joburg Open, with his remarkable run of form lifting him to third in the Race to Dubai Rankings Delivered by DP World and put him on track to claim dual membership with the PGA TOUR next year.

Long touted as an international star in waiting, having shot a 59 to equal the lowest tournament round in Sunshine Tour history as a teenager in 2023, he has won four times in the last six months when you factor in two triumphs in his homeland.

If his recent emergence is anything to go by, he is likely to be inspired rather than inhibited by the global spotlight that comes with playing at the Masters.

Tom McKibbin

Age: 23
Official World Golf Ranking: 105
Career wins worldwide: 2023 Porsche European Open (DP World Tour), 2025 Link Hong Kong Open (Asian Tour)

In the year Rory McIlroy returns to defend his title, it is perhaps only right that his mentee makes his Masters debut.

The young Northern Irishman grew up playing golf at Holywood Golf Club, the same home club as McIlroy, and made his professional debut on the DP World Tour at the Tenerife Open in 2021.

After finishing tenth on the HotelPlanner Tour's Road to Mallorca Rankings in 2022, he graduated onto the DP World Tour and claimed his maiden win in his rookie season at the 2023 Porsche European Open in Germany.

He narrowly missed out on securing his second DP World Tour title a year later in a play-off at the Italian Open, shortly after making his Major Championship debut at the U.S. Open.

A further eight top tens helped him to finish 18th on the Race to Dubai Rankings in 2024.

He dominated the field to win the Hong Kong Open by seven shots last November, securing his place at both the Masters and The Open later this year.

Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen

Age: 26
Official World Golf Ranking: 69
Career wins worldwide: 2024 Kolkata Challenge, 2024 UAE Challenge, 2024 Big Green Egg German Challenge powered by VcG (all HotelPlanner Tour), 2026 Crown Australian Open (DP World Tour)

The firsts just keep on coming for the fast-rising Dane, who will later this year add an Open bow to his Masters debut and complete the set of Major appearances.

After an amateur career that saw him star for both country and Oklahoma State, he turned professional in 2023 and it did not take him long to find his feet.

He finished in the top ten on his DP World Tour debut at the BMW International Open and recorded three top tens in nine HotelPlanner Tour starts before breaking out in 2024.

He won the Kolkata Challenge, UAE Challenge and Big Green Egg German Challenge powered by VcG to earn instant graduation to the DP World before a runner-up finish at the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final supported by the R&A handed him the Road to Mallorca title.

Just as the move into the paid ranks had not phased him, the step up to the DP World Tour looked a natural progression and he secured eight top tens en route to securing dual membership with the PGA TOUR - where he had already finished second on his debut in Puerto Rico.

The inevitable first DP World Tour win came early in the season at the Crown Australian Open, sealing his place at Augusta and helping him into the world's top 50.

Marco Penge

Age: 27
Official World Golf Ranking: 37
Career wins worldwide: 2023 Open de Portugal, 2023 Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final supported by The R&A (both HotelPlanner Tour), 2025 Hainan Classic, 2025 Danish Golf Championship, 2025 Open de España presented by Madrid (all DP World Tour)

Another Road to Mallorca champion, success did not come quickly to Penge but since the dam has been broken, it has flowed consistently.

The Englishman turned professional in 2017 and earned a debut season on the HotelPlanner Tour in 2020 via the EuroPro Tour.

The Covid-19 pandemic and knee surgery saw him play little ranking golf for two years but he followed a solid 2022 wiith a stellar 2023, winning twice en route to topping the HotelPlanner Tour Rankings.

He needed to birdie the 36th hole at the Genesis Championship to have a chance of keeping his card over the weekend and duly did both before his progress was once again curtailed due to an enforced absence from the game after a breach of Tour regulations.

It took him just seven events on his return to enter the winner's circle in China and two further victories in Denmark and Spain - the latter earning him his place in the Masters field - put him in contention for the Race to Dubai title.

He ultimately lost out to Rory McIlroy but took the first card for dual membership with the PGA TOUR, won the Seve Ballesteros Award and has so far showed his prowess across the pond by leading the Genesis Invitational into the weekend and finishing in the top five at the Valspar Championship.

Kristoffer Reitan

Age: 28
Official World Golf Ranking: 46
Career wins worldwide: 2024 Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final supported by the R&A (HotelPlanner Tour), 2025 Soudal Open, 2026 Nedbank Golf Challenge in honour of Gary Player (both DP World Tour)

Reitan has taken the long route to the World Ranking that earned him a place in this week's field.

He was just 20 years old when he came through all three stages of Qualifying School and turned professional to start his first full season on the DP World Tour. One top ten and 15 missed cuts saw him lose his playing privileges and gettng them back would not prove easy.

He would register just three top tens at ranking level over the next four seasons and while 2024 saw improvement, a return to the DP World Tour still looked unlikely.

A maiden professional win at the Grand Final supported by the R&A changed all that, however, and this time the Norwegian was ready to take his chance.

Victory at the Soudal Open prompted a summer of incredible consistency and he finished eighth on the 2025 Race to Dubai to secure dual membership with the PGA TOUR.

A second DP World Tour triumph at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in honour of Gary Player moved him into the world's top 50 and he has stayed there thanks to his form on the PGA TOUR, finishing in the top 20 at the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches, making the cut at THE PLAYERS Championship and finishing in the top ten at the Valero Texas Open.

Sami Välimäki

Age: 27
Official World Golf Ranking: 56
Career wins worldwide: 2020 Oman Open, 2023 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters (both DP World Tour), 2025 RSM Classic (PGA TOUR)

The Finn enjoyed an excellent amateur career representing his country and it did not take him long to bring that prowess into the paid ranks.

He turned professional in 2019 shortly after finishing his military service and quickly claimed four wins on the Pro Golf Tour to earn a place on the HotelPlanner Tour.

He would not take that place up however as he earned a DP World Tour card through the Qualifying School and was a winner in just his sixth start in Oman en route to winning the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year Award.

Not at his best in 2021 and 2022, he came roaring back in 2023 with a win in Qatar that helped him become one of the first players to secure PGA TOUR dual membership via the Race to Dubai.

Now a regular on the PGA TOUR, he claimed his first win on that circuit at the 2025 RSM Classic and makes his way down Magnolia Lane after finishing last year in the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking.
