Sentosa Golf Club is arguably the finest in Singapore, and its two courses offer ever-changing, dynamic views of Singapore Harbour and the South China Sea.
The lush greenery provides an oasis of tranquillity on Sentosa Island, a five minute drive over the Sentosa Bridge, with the dramatic skyline of Singapore’s skyscrapers in the background.
The Barclays Singapore Open has been played here since 2005 on the Serapong Course, and in 2010 the tournament will take place over the Tanjong as well for the first time
The Serapong was designed by Ronald Fream in 1974 and redesigned by Bates Golf Design Group in 2007, while the Tanjong was created by Frank Pennick, opened in 1972 and redesigned by Max Wexler and Chris Pitman.
It was nominated Singapore’s best golf course in The Asian Golf Review for three consecutive years from 1997. The European Tour co-sanctioned the Barclays Singapore Open for the first time in 2009, when Ian Poulter won the title.
