Seven birdies in the first 11 holes brought Spaniard Rafael Cabrera-Bello level with England's Benn Barham at the Austrian Golf Open final round in Vienna.
And when Ryder Cup Dane Søren Hansen two-putted the long ninth for birdie and an outward 33 it was a three-way tie on 16 under.
Barham had started the day three clear, but a bogey on the third was his only deviation from par on the front nine as he sought a first European Tour title.
Hansen had started impressively with a birdie at the first courtesy of an approach to within ten foot.
But it was Cabrera-Bello, who graduated from last season’s Challenge Tour, who was looking the most impressive approaching the closing holes at Fontana Golf Club.
