Over the past 20 years the Championship has played host to many of the world's favourite golfers and its illustrious list of winners features many who have since gone on to reach the very pinnacle of the game, including two-time defending champion Branden Grace, perennial crowd favourite Sergio Garcia, and the 2016 Race to Dubai winner and Open Champion Henrik Stenson.
"There have been some spectacular performances here at the Doha Golf Club over the past 20 years, from great moments of on-course rivalry, to final hole excitement and drama," said Joseph Abraham, CEO of Commercial Bank.
"Every year we've hosted golf stars that have lit-up Doha and helped evolve this event to what it is today – a world-class golf championship that continues to possess quality and excitement for everyone involved.

Twenty years is a huge milestone for us and we are looking forward to celebrating another unbeatable Commercial Bank Qatar Masters with all the golfers, fans, sponsors and families this January.
The 2016 tournament was yet another scorcher and saw Branden Grace become the tournament’s third two-time winner and the first to successfully defend his title (2015, 2016), following former Open champion Paul Lawrie (1999, 2012) and former World Number One Adam Scott (2002, 2008).
“History is made on the Doha Golf Club course every year and the 20th edition is set to be the best one yet. This is a golf fan's chance to get incredibly close to the action and watch legendary golfers at the peak of their craft on a truly unique golf course. We are privileged to be involved in such a prestigious tournament that has grown exponentially year on year, and has created a legacy in Qatar to inspire local golfers and future stars,” added Hassan Al Naimi, President of QGA.
In addition to great golfing moments, daily entertainment will be happening all around the Public Village and the ever-popular trick shot show will return to entertain kids and adults alike with an action-packed daily show at the driving range.
Kids of all ages will be able to try out a range of sports including mini and soft golf alongside gourmet food offerings. For many years, the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters has stressed the importance of introducing golf to children by providing golf clinics from internationally certified coaches in a bid to encourage more young people to try out the sport.
Entry is free for children under 14 years of age.
