Tiger Woods, the World Number One, completed an eight-stroke victory at the World Golf Championships-American Express Championship at the Grove, Hertfordshire in England. The win marks Woods' fifth career American Express Championship title and his twelfth individual World Golf Championship win. Adam Scott finished tied second and moves up to World Number Four while Furyk regains the World Number Two spot with his 4th place finish.
D.J. Trahan won on the PGA TOUR for the first time after a play-off over Joe Durant at the Southern Farm Bureau Classic. Trahan moves up to World Number 161, an improvement of 104 positions
Hidemasa Hoshino won the Coca-Cola Tokai Classic on the Japan Golf Tour and is now placed in 111th position on the Official World Golf Ranking.
