Former Ryder Cup Captain and Major Champion Tony Jacklin CBE will take to the dancefloor on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
The 1969 Open and 1970 US Open Champion, who captained Europe to their first Ryder Cup victory in 28 years in 1985 and Europe’s first win on US soil two years later, will become the first golfer to feature on the hit TV show.
Hosted by Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly, the show is now in its eleventh series and its popularity continues to sweep across the UK.
Jacklin, an Honorary Life Member of The European Tour, said: “I am delighted to be appearing on the nation’s biggest TV programme and look forward to the challenges it will bring!”
