Prize money for the US Open Championship, which will be played from June 12-15 at Olympia Fields Country Club in Olympia Fields, Illinois, has been increased to $6 million, the United States Golf Association announced.
The US Open Championship purse has increased $500,000 over from last year with $1,080,000 awarded to the Champion.
Prize money for the US Senior Open has also increased by $100,000 to $2.6 million, with first place worth $470,000. The championship will be held from June 26-29 at Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio.
