The European Tour and Valmed SA are pleased to announce a new sponsorship deal, which will place Valmed’s medical device technology within a key market sector as the Official Supplier of neuromuscular stimulation equipment to the Tour in 2006.
Valmed SA is a leading Swiss company with proprietary medical device technologies. Throughout the 2006 season, Valmed will provide The Tour physios in the Red Bull Physiotherapy Unit with neuromuscular stimulation technology in order to treat golfers with a range of discomforts, including back and shoulder complaints – a common problem among touring professionals.
The technology, including the market-leading ‘Swiss’ and ‘P4 Classic’, will be used by the physios to help players with muscle discomfort, muscle re-education, muscle strengthening, and post-exercise muscle recovery.
Valmed’s interest in helping golfers started several years ago and Valmed’s stimulators have been very beneficial for a number of professional golfers. Valmed looks forward to working with The European Tour in 2006 and providing players with medical therapy technology that has been clinically tested and approved in Europe and America.
