Victor Perez delighted home fans as he earned the 42,000 euro prize with a hole in one at the 11th hole of Le Golf National during the second round of the 2026 FedEx Open de France.
The Frenchman was level par for his round when he arrived at the 11th hole, having countered three birdies on his front nine at the third, fourth and ninth holes with a triple-bogey seven at the seventh.
Following a par at the 10th, Perez perfectly judged an 8 iron from 182 yards at the par-three 11th, landing short of the hole and running along the putting surface before finding the cup.
With it, he earned the hole in one prize of 42,000 euros in cash, awarded to the first professional to achieve a hole-in-one in any tournament round.
It was the third hole in one of his DP World Tour career, having also recorded an ace during the thrid round of the 2022 Porsche European Open (Hole 2) and during second round of the 2025 U.S. Open (Hole 6). He also had a hole in one on the sixth hole during the 2017 Challenge de España on the HotelPlanner Tour.
