Vijay Singh secured his third PGA TOUR title of the season when he beat Sergio Garcia and Jim Furyk in a play-off to win the Wachovia Championship. Singh closes the gap on Tiger Woods at the top of the Official World Golf Ranking to less than 0.2 average points. Garcia climbs a place to World Number Eight while Furyk improves his World Ranking by 8 places to 18th.
Steve Webster picked up 5 birdies in his last 10 holes to claim the Telecom Italia Open title by 3 strokes. In his 10th year as a professional this maiden victory has moved Webster into the World Top 150 with a climb from 228th to 140th.
Choi Kyung-Ju returned to his home country Korea and won the S K Telecom from American Fred Couples and Australian Andrew Buckle. Choi moves up 5 places to World Number 27.
