Lee Westwood continued his golfing renaissance as his victory at the dunhill links championship moved the former World No.4 up 50 spots in the World Ranking to No.61. Westwood jumps past Nick Faldo to become the fourth highest-ranked Englishman in the world after Paul Casey (No.31), Justin Rose (No.43) and Ian Poulter (No.47).
Westwood, who went three years without individual honours, has now won twice in 5 weeks. He has improved his World Ranking position by 121 places this year, moves to fourth in the Volvo Order of Merit with €1,271,619 and is now top of both the European Ryder Cup Points List and the European World Ryder Cup Points List.
