Jayden Schaper ended 2025 on the DP World Tour with back-to-back titles in South Africa and Mauritius to cap a breakthrough year.
After a strong campaign on the 2025 Race to Dubai, the South African has taken that form into the new season with a run of two wins at the Alfred Dunhill Championship and AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open - both times with eagles in play-offs - and a tie for second at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in honour of Gary Player across three starts on the Opening Swing, confirming him as a rising international talent.
At 24, the two-time DP World Tour winner has risen to a career-high 63rd in the Official World Golf Ranking and will end the calendar year at the top of the Race to Dubai Rankings Delivered by DP World.
A Tour player who uses an entire set of TaylorMade clubs, he has not made any changes to his bag since the start of the new DP World Tour campaign but did make a series of switches last season:
• Brought in the TaylorMade Qi4D LS driver at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, ahead of the DP World Tour Play-Offs in November
• Switched between his Qi35 3 wood and a TaylorMade r7 Quad mini driver last season
• Moved to a TaylorMade Spider Tour Z putter ahead of the FedEx Open de France in September. He had used four other TaylorMade putters last season; Spider Tour T3.0, Spider 5K-ZT, Spider Tour T7 4.0 and TP Reserve TR.M37
• Switched into the TaylorMade Milled Grind 5 wedges at the Soudal Open, having previously used the Milled Grind 4 wedges
Through the opening five events of the season, Schaper leads the 2026 strokes gained average on Tour with an impressive +4.23, and is second for both stroke average (66.91) and Putts Per GIR (1.69).
