It may have been his approach play that proved instrumental in helping Jordan Gumberg land his second DP World Tour title at the Hainan Classic presented by MAEXTRO but it’s with his putter where the American made the most recent change to his bag.
Arriving in China ranked 568th in the world, he left Mission Hills Haikou a two-time DP World Tour winner as he held off the challenge of Jorge Campillo to claim a one-shot victory.
Ahead of the Qatar Masters last month, he moved to the Titleist SC Tour Only 9.2R mallet putter – new for 2026.
The only other element that has changed since retaining his DP World Tour card with a hole-out eagle at the Genesis Championship in South Korea last season saw Gumberg move from the Titleist Pro V1 Left Dot ball to the 2025 edition Pro V1.
At the top of the bag, the 30-year-old uses the Titleist GT3 driver in an eight-degree head, having used the Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond S for his victory at the SDC Championship in South Africa in 2024.
Like so many at the top level, Gumberg uses a combination of irons. He uses the Titleist 620 CB in his five, six and seven irons before moving to the Titleist 620 MB in eight and nine.
Along with his irons, he changed his driver ahead of the start of the 2025 DP World Tour season, while he moved to the Titleist GT2 three wood at last year’s FedEx Open de France.
The Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges are among the most in-use by Tour players, and Gumberg is no different with the 46, 50, 54 and 60-degree lofted clubs in his set-up.
