• His first European Tour victory since the 2012 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

• This is a gap of two years and 68 days.

• This victory beats his previous best finishes since his 2012 win at St Andrews of second in the 2013 Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open and 2014 Volvo Golf Champions.

• His third European Tour victory on South African soil. They are: the 2012 Joburg Open, 2012 Volvo Golf Champions and 2015 Alfred Dunhill Championship.

• Victory would come in his sixth appearance in the Alfred Dunhill Championship.

• Victory beats his previous best finish in the Alfred Dunhill Championship of tied 12th in the 2013 European Tour season.

• The fourth consecutive South African victory in the Alfred Dunhill Championship, following Garth Mulroy 2011 (Nov 2011) and Charl Schwartzel (2013-14). (The event was not played in the 2012 European Tour season).

• The seventh South African victory in the history of the Alfred Dunhill Championship. They are: Charl Schwartzel (2005, 13, 14), Ernie Els (2006), Richard Sterne (2009), Garth Mulroy (2011 – Nov 2011) and Branden Grace (2015).

• The first wire-to-wire winner of the Alfred Dunhill Championship.

• His second wire-to-wire win on The European Tour. Won the 2012 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship with no ties in any of the rounds, just like the 2015 Alfred Dunhill Championship.

• Maintains his 100% record of winning all of his five European Tour events when leading or sharing the lead going into the final round.

• The 127th South African victory in European Tour history.

• The 35th South African victory in European Tour events that have been co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Tour.

• The six different South African to record victories in two or more different European Tour events co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Tour. They are: Ernie Els, Branden Grace, Louis Oosthuizen, Charl Schwartzel, Richard Sterne and Dawie Van der Walt.

• Becomes the second youngest South African to win his first five European Tour events, aged 26 years and 208 days. The youngest is Charl Schwartzel, aged 25 years and 139 days.

• Gains a European Tour exemption until the end of the 2017 season.

• Gains his seventh win as a professional and fifth in his homeland.

• Becomes the first former European Challenge Tour player to win on the 2015 European Tour.

• Becomes the 355th European Tour victory by a former Challenge Tour player.
