With This Win... Richard Green - BA-CA Golf Open, presented by Telekom Austria

With this win Richard Green secured his first European Tour victory since the 1997 Dubai Desert Classic – a gap of ten years and 100 days. The Australian won the 1997 Dubai Desert Classic in his 16th European Tour event and played another 223 events between European Tour victories.  Since his 1997 win has finished second on six occasions.

*Both of his European Tour victories have come via a play-off. Has played in three European Tour play-offs, winning two and losing one.

*His ten years and 100 days is the seventh biggest gap between victories in European Tour history.

*Gains a two year European Tour exemption until the end of 2009.

*Moves over €5 million in European Tour Official Career Earnings.

*Moves to €629,810 and into the top 12 of The European Tour Order of Merit.

*Moves into the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking.

*Third consecutive top ten finish on The European Tour – tied fourth in the Irish Open and tied eighth in the BMW PGA Championship.

*Becomes the 18th Australian to record multiple victories on The European Tour.
