Meet Shirzai, back for a second year with Social Bite's Job First programme at Genesis Scottish Open
The Genesis Scottish Open didn't just have a big impact inside the ropes, but also off the course with a number of community and charity initiatives throughout the week.Tournament catering supplier, Heritage Portfolio, partnered with Social Bite, a charity and social business whose Job First programme focuses on providing job opportunities to people who have experienced homelessness.Shirzai worked in the Genesis Player Cafe last year and is back again to work in the cafe after a successful first week, where he enjoyed meeting some of the best players in the world and playing an integral role in the Genesis Scottish Open community, which has led to a permanent job at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh.
