Li Haotong saw his lead cut to two shots as the final round of the Turkish Airlines Open got under way at Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort.
The Chinese fired a 63 on Saturday to become the first player of the 2018 season to go from more than two behind to more than two ahead in a single round but a dropped shot in his first three holes on Sunday dropped him to 16 under.
That left him two ahead of defending champion Justin Rose, who is looking to return to Number One in the Official World Golf Ranking and become just the third man to win multiple Rolex Series events.
Thai Kiradech Aphibarnrat, Frenchman Alexander Levy, England's Tom Lewis, Dane Thorbjørn Olesen and England's Danny Willett were then four shots off the lead.
Li needed to get up and down to save par on the first but he could not repeat the feat on the second and his lead was cut to two shots.
He remained three clear of playing partner Levy after the Frenchman got a fortunate bounce out of the trees but could not take advantage and save par.
Levy then found sand off the tee on the third and was two over through three, with Englishman Rose making three pars.
Willett holed a 12-footer on the first but failed to get up and down on the second, while Olesen dropped a shot on the first but birdied the second from ten feet.
Aphibarnrat started par-par but put his approaches on the third and fourth inside ten feet to make a pair of birdies and get within four of the lead.
Olesen made a second bogey of the day on the fourth, with Englishman Lewis picking up shots on the second and fifth.
Tommy Fleetwood and Martin Kaymer were 11 under.
