The Montgomerie Maxx Royal was playing host to the first of three Rolex Series events to close out the 2019 Race to Dubai and glorious conditions greeted an elite field in Antalya.

Paraguayan Zanotti made five birdies from the tenth to get to five under and sit a shot clear of Spaniard Jorge Campillo, Belgian Thomas Detry and American David Lipsky.

There was a lot of jostling in the early stages but it was Zanotti who broke out of the pack to get to four under, with a birdie on the 15th adding to gains on the tenth, 11th and 14th.

Lipsky birded the tenth, 11th, 13th and 14th to join him and another gain moved the Alfred Dunhill Championship winner into the solo lead.

A bogey on the next made it a four way tie and Zanotti took advantage of the par five 18th to replace Lipsky at the summit.

Detry started with a bogey but made gains on the 11th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 18th to turn in 33, while Campillo added a hat-trick of gains from the fifth to a birdie on the third.

Zander Lombard, Joost Luiten, Andrea Pavan, Patrick Reed, Matthias Schwab and Jason Scrivener were at three under.
