Community and Golf Futures

At the European Tour group, we aim to leave a lasting legacy in the communities we visit through our charitable initiatives, our support of grassroots golf and by promoting the many health benefits of golf.

Since the launch of Golf for Good in 2020, more than €1 million has been donated to good causes around the world.

Golf Futures

Golf Futures is leaving a lasting legacy in the communities we visit each season by educating and inspiring future generations, from a range of backgrounds, on the opportunities that come from following golf and the wide range of careers available in live sport and entertainment.

Our Community Education Programme

As we continue to develop our Golf for Good programme, building relationships with the local communities where we hold tournaments, and leaving a lasting legacy, is a priority.

Tour employees from a range of disciplines go into local schools and colleges and provide interactive workshops on what it is like to work in elite sport and entertainment. Our goal is to inspire young adults, aged 16 – 19, on the possibilities that come with a career in our industry, break down barriers and perceptions that may exist, and grow golf’s fan base.

Inclusion plays a lead part in our D&I strategy and this programme helps promote the Tour as a truly inclusive place to work. Golf Futures also provides opportunities for our staff to get involved and support local communities, which helps develop and broaden their own skill set.
