It's the first time the European Tour has co-sanctioned the Indian Open but it's the 51st edition of the event. We take a look a look at the best numbers, stats and scores from Day One.
65- The low round of the day by Richard T. Lee, SSP Chawrasia, Chapchai Nirat, Siddikur Rahman and Joakim Lagergren. Interestingly, Siddikur is the defending champion of this event and Chawrasia won the last edition held at Delhi Golf Club at the Panasonic Open India just four months ago.
46- Strokes under par for Chawrasia in his last 14 rounds at Delhi Golf Club. The Indian has finished inside the top five in each of his last four visits here.
23- Putts for Chawrasia today, two fewer than anyone else in the field.
31- Strokes under par for Richard T. Lee in his nine rounds on the European Tour this season. He has finished in the top five in both his previous starts (Maybank Malaysian Open and the True Thailand Classic presented by Black Mountain).
