The Opening Swing continues this week with the second of back-to-back events in South Africa at Royal Johannesburg.

With Leopard Creek undergoing a period of recovery, the Alfred Dunhill Championship - co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Tour - is returning to its historical roots, with the capital city having hosted the first five editions at Houghton GC.

Shaun Norris is the defending champion having won his second DP World Tour title 12 months ago and he is joined by a host of other home favourites, including fellow former winners Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Louis Oosthuizen, Ockie Strydom and Brandon Stone among others.

There is a strong European challenge too, with 2025 Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year winner Martin Couvra, fellow rising star Angel Ayora and dual PGA TOUR member John Parry teeing it up.

From insight into the week’s most-picked players among Fantasy managers, to our ones to watch, we run the rule ahead of Thursday’s deadline to pick your team.

Who are the most picked players?

On the back of a top five at last week's Nedbank Golf Challenge in honour of Gary Player, Bezuidenhout is the most chosen player this week, featuring in 79% of teams.

There is then a considerable drop to his countryman and defending champion Norris at 52%, with home knowledge proving a key factor among our Fantasy players as the in-form Jayden Schaper rounds out top three at 46%.

Thriston Lawrence - a five-time DP World Tour winner - is fourth at 30%, while Spaniard Ayora is fifth at 29%.

Who are our ones to watch?

Favourite - Christiaan Bezuidenhout

A past winner in 2020, he is one of six of the last seven champions teeing it up and is aiming to become only the third multiple winner in the event's history. His victory was his third and most recent one on the DP World Tour, but a top-five finish last week at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in honour of Gary Player saw him enter the Race to Dubai Rankings Delievered by DP World in ninth place. A regular on both the DP World Tour and the PGA TOUR, the 31-year-old has three top tens in his last four starts worldwide and could be in line for a return to the winner's circle.

Form Horse - Jayden Schaper

After producing nine top ten finishes last season to finish 26th on the Race to Dubai Rankings Delivered by DP World, the South African made an impressive start to the new campaign. On his debut at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in honour of Gary Player, the 24-year-old pushed Kristoffer Reitan all the way at Sun City, settling for a runner-up finish. He also finished in a tie for second at this week's event in 2020 at Leopard Creek in his rookie year as a professional. Across his last five starts on the DP World Tour he has finished no worse than a tie for 23rd and registered three top tens duing that timespan.

Wild Card - Darren Fichardt

With a change in venue this week, you look back in the record books for when the DP World Tour has visited Royal Johannesburg for other events and with that we've picked out another home favourite and past winner around the layout. A five-time winner on the DP World Tour, he is familiar with the test ahead after he claimed the title at the Joburg Open in 2017. Having turned 50 earlier this year, he is playing across both the DP World Tour and Legends Tour, aready enjoying success on the latter with a first victory in the senior game in Cambodia last month. He followed that up by finishing in a tie for second at the Legends Tour's season final in Mauritius over the weekend so will likely have high hopes this week.
