    The younger brother of John, David joined the Seniors Tour in August 2003, more than 25 years after hanging up his clubs to concentrate on a series of successful business ventures. Previously, the Scot enjoyed considerable success on The European Tour during the 1970s when he figured prominently in several prestigious events. His best year was undoubtedly in 1974 when he finished tied fourth at the Spanish Open and tied fifth at the French Open on his way to finishing the season in 20th place on the Volvo Order of Merit. Retired from the Tour in the late 1970s to develop his business interests. He was involved in building and property for a number of years and then established the successful Pine Warehouse Ltd. Alongside David and Peter Oakley, he and brother John are currently the only brothers to compete on a regular basis on the Seniors Tour. The last two brothers to tee up in a Seniors Tour event were Gordon and Martin Gary who both competed in the 2002 Microlease Jersey Seniors Masters. They were thought to be the first brothers to achieve that double
