Motoki started playing golf when he was 34 after losing his right leg due to a traffic accident.

He wanted to learn to play for himself because of his disability, rather than relying on the help of his friends.

Recent inspiration came in 2022 playing in the Japan Open Golf Championship for People with Disabilities, when he played alongside one of his country’s leading G4D players, Hayato Yoshida.
