Began the 2011 campaign with a flourish by capturing his maiden Senior Tour title in his homeland with a superb wire-to-wire victory in the Handa Australian Senior Open. Finished three strokes clear of Sandy Lyle in Perth, having lost in a play-off to Mike Harwood the previous year, before the event became part of the Senior Tour. Had a strong record in the Senior Majors in 2010, finishing tied 11th in the US Senior PGA Championship and tied third, behind Bernhard Langer and Corey Pavin, in the Senior Open Championship. Finished 14th on the Order of Merit in 2009 despite only playing three events after turning 50 that July. Was fourth on his debut in the Cleveland Golf/Srixon Scottish Senior Open before finishing runner-up in the Travis Perkins plc Senior Masters and tied second in the Casa Serena Open. An international player who has plied his trade all over the world for 20 years, Senior has won in Australia, Japan and Europe, his tally including four victories on The European Tour International Schedule. Career was threatened by putting problems until Sam Torrance converted him to the broom handle model. Since then, he has been a consistent money earner. Has a share in a pawnbroking business with his brother in Australia which was launched on the Sydney Stock Exchange in 1996. Served as Chairman of the Australian PGA before joining the Senior Tour.
