Event Information Team
Please visit the event information team found in the Championship Village for more information on the services and support available onsite.
Dedicated Accessibility Buggy
The Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship has a dedicated accessibility (6-seater) buggy and driver, going to the 17th hole from the Driving Range. This service is only for the less abled and elderly who have difficulty walking long distances. It is a limited, on request service. There are 5 stops.
A vulnerable wristband would be required to access this service. Please ask an official if this service is required.
Note: A Vulnerable wristband is required for this service, these can be collected at the Information & Accessibility tent in the Championship Village.
Vulnerable Person Wrsitband
Available at the Main Entrance Tent. We would suggest offering these to parents with young children and those attending events with vulnerable adults. Spectators who choose to use these simply need to write a contact number on the inside of the wristband and can then complete as much or as little additional information as they wish. For example, some parents may prefer not to add the name of their child.
Quiet Room
There will be a Quiet room located in the Championship Village, next to the Prayer Rooms.
The Championship wants to be a safe and happy place for everyone to enjoy. However, the size of the site and the large crowds mixed in with all the different sounds, lights, and experiences can be overwhelming especially for customers with mental health, emotional and sensory issues or mothers nursing their babies.
Sunflower Lanyard
We recognise sunflower lanyards for people who have a hidden disability that might not be visible to see. They are for people who want to let us know that they may need some extra help, time or assistance. When you wear your sunflower lanyard, a member of staff may ask you if there is anything we can do to help you.
What is a hidden disability?
A hidden disability is a disability that may not be immediately obvious. This could be, for example:
Sensory loss, including difficulty seeing or hearing
A physical disability that may not be obvious
Autism
A learning disability
Anxiety or any other mental health condition.
There is no qualifying list of hidden disabilities. If you have a hidden disability and feel that you would benefit from wearing a sunflower lanyard, please do.
Certified Assistance Dogs
Certified Assistance Dogs are welcomed to the Grounds. Please note that they must be always kept on the lead.
