Please note, all Juniors must have parental consent to take part and be accompanied by a responsible adult.
What is the Thistle Challenge?
A junior golf activation taking place during the Wednesday Pro-Am at the Genesis Scottish Open.
What is the competition?
A nearest the pin challenge for selected junior participants.
Who can take part?
Juniors aged 9 to15.
When does it take place?
Wednesday 8 July 2026, from 08:30 to 13:30.
Where does it take place?
At the 15th hole at The Renaissance Club.
How do I register to take part?
Be at the 15th Tee grandstand and kids zone viewing area for a chance to claim a spot! The Thistle Challenge, hosted by Bring the Noise, will select juniors out of the crowd through a series of games and questions taking place on the tee. The lucky 26 selected will then be shown to a formal registration desk to be briefed.
Do I need to bring clubs?
No, clubs will be provided at the tee and at the green.
Is there a special prize?
Yes, the junior nearest the pin overall, will win two tickets to the Sunday of the Genesis Scottish Open 2027!
