2023 Thailand Classic - Spectator FAQs

Spectator information for the 2023 Thailand Classic, held at Amata Spring Country Club from Thursday 16 – Sunday 19 February 2023.

1. Tournament Format

Field: 132 Players

Format: The tournament will be a 72-hole stroke play event.

The field will play one round on each of the first two days, after which the leading 65 players (and those who tie for 65th place) will go forward to the third and fourth rounds.

In the event of a tie for the first place there will be a hole-by-hole play-off.

3 balls (All 4 rounds), 48 Flights.

The Prize Presentation Ceremony will take place on the 18th green immediately following the completion of the final round.

6. Travel & Parking

If you drive or take a taxi: Get driving directions in Google map, navigate to Thailand Classic Public Car Park situated at - https://maps.app.goo.gl/g4DPzi5SMoCGjTYdA?g_st=il

Or navigate to “Hotel Nikko Amata City Chonburi”, the Public Car Park is located between ““Hotel Nikko Amata City Chonburi” and “Vibharam Amata Hospital”.

The public car parking area: Please follow the signage on site and park in the designated area.

Shuttle services on site: A complementary shuttle service is offered to all spectators free of charge. This continuous shuttle service will be available between the Public Car Park and Amata Spring County Club Public Entrance. The shuttle service to the golf course will begin at 7:00am on Thursday Feb 16 and Friday Feb 17, and at 8:00am across the weekend – February 18 and 19. This service will run until 3:30pm each day.

7. Tickets

When and where can I buy tickets for the 2023 Thailand Classic?

General admission tickets are free for everyone to enjoy golf at the fullest. General admission tickets give access to all the golf plus the fan village. Please apply for your tickets prior to arrival, available here: https://www.ticketmelon.com/dpworldtour/thailandclassic

When will I receive my tickets for the event?

Tickets are sent out digitally to the e-mail address you used to register at ticketmelon.com. Please present the ticket QR code at the main entrance to gain admission.

What do I do if I haven’t received my ticket?

If you haven’t received your tickets via email, please contact us at luke.callanan@pacificpinesports.com. When contacting us please include your order number, the surname of the booking and the email address used to create the booking. Please do check your junk/spam/clutter folder in your emails before contacting us.

I have bought a ticket for one day of the event, but would like change to a different day. Is this possible?

Yes, there is no need to process a change of ticket. Simply go back to the ticketing link and order tickets for the day(s) you would like to attend. https://www.ticketmelon.com/dpworldtour/thailandclassic

8. Gate Open Times

9. Spectator's Etiquette

  • Remain still for each shot and do not move until all the Players in the group have played or holed out.
  • Kneel or sit down if you are in the front row. Consider other spectators when using an umbrella.
  • Do not speak to the players while they are on the course.
  • Please keep behind the ropes and barriers on the course and use the official crossing points.
  • Walk, don’t run, and obey the course marshals – they are trying to make your day more enjoyable.
  • There is no dress code in public areas.
  • Dress accordingly for the weather conditions. Sensible shoes should be worn. No metal spikes allowed.

Please listen to any public address announcements and follow instructions from officials and volunteers should they be necessary.

10. Course

Spectators can move freely around the golf course but please stay outside the ropes. Controlled crossing points, which are clearly marked by signposts and manned by course Marshals, should be used when crossing fairways.

11. Evacuation Procedure

If it is necessary to evacuate the site, please follow the instructions of the course marshals, volunteers and event officials in an orderly fashion.

12. Inclement Weather

Observe the leaderboards and big screens throughout the golf course for weather warning signs that will appear prior to inclement weather moving into the area. Spectators are advised to take precautions PRIOR to play being suspended. If the siren sounds, seek shelter immediately, avoiding the following:

Open areas, Hilltops or high places, Isolated trees, Golf buggies and Wire fences

13. Food and Beverages

Alcoholic beverages are also not permitted to be brought into the venue.

Public Catering

There is public catering located within the Fan Village offering a wide variety of food and drink.

14. On-Course Toilet Facilities

There are public toilet facilities in the following areas.

  • Public Parking
  • Public Village

15. Clothing and What to Wear

It would be recommended to wear casual golf wear. The ground is uneven and particularly under wet conditions the ground may become slippery therefore appropriate footwear should be worn to avoid injury. Please check the weather forecast before you set off on your journey.

16. Phone Charging

No Phone charging stations. Remember to bring a portable phone power bank.

17. The Use of Mobile Phones

The DP World Tour welcomes mobile phones and encourages fans to enjoy and share their experience on social media.

To make everyone’s experience as enjoyable as possible:

• Please ensure your mobile phone is on SILENT at all times

• Please ensure your flash functionality is switched off at all times

The following usage guidelines apply:

• Mobile phone photography for personal use is permitted throughout the week in all areas of the course

• Mobile phone video capture is allowed throughout the week in non-competition areas only, such as practice facilities and mobile phone zones

• Phone calls are allowed in non-competition areas only, such as practice facilities and mobile phone zones

• Data use (texting, email, using the DP World Tour app, social media) is permitted at all times

• Please be considerate to other spectators

• At all times, please take care to avoid disturbing players and please respond to all requests from tournament staff, security, players and members of their team

18. Child’s buggy/pushchair?

Yes you can. However please be aware of uneven terrain. Children should always be accompanied by an adult.

The ground is uneven and particularly under wet conditions the ground may become slippery therefore appropriate footwear should be worn to avoid injury.

19. Pets

Pets are not permitted on the course with the exception of trained assistance guide dogs, and we respectfully suggest that you do not leave your pet in the car.

20. Medical First Aid

Full medical and first aid facility is located in Driver Room, Car Park (East)/VIP Car Park B. Should you require medical assistance whilst out on course, please ask a marshal or event official who can radio for assistance.

21. Lost Property

Lost property that has been found can be handed in to the nearest marshal, volunteer or event official. All items will be delivered to the Ticketing Booth at the Public Entrance.
