Higa in the mix on debut

World Number 84 Kazuki Higa is making his DP World Tour debut this week but he is no stranger to the winner's circle, having enjoyed plenty of success in his native Japan. He showed his class on Moving Day, closing his third round with four straight birdies to sign for a 64 and get to 13 under par. He came this close to earning himself a new car with an ace at the 17th but it wasn't to be...

Li's love affair with the sixth continues

Having made an eagle at the long sixth in each of his opening two rounds, Li Haotong's chances of repeating the trick looked slim when he missed the fairway with his tee-shot. And although he was unable to find the green with his second shot, Li would have been relieved to see his ball stay up and not roll back into the water. He then somehow chipped in for a brilliant eagle to keep the run going. Shot of the day? It's certainly a contender!

Miraculous recovery at the 15th

Chinese star Li was holding his own shot-of-the-day competition on Saturday, producing another strong candidate at the 15th. After sending his tee-shot a long way left, he lifted his second shot up over the trees and somehow got it to land just 13 feet from the cup. He went on to hole the birdie putt for a tremendous three. Wow!

He then signed for a third-round 67 to take a three-shot lead into day four.

Pieters storms into contention

Thomas Pieters made slow but steady progress on the front nine with one birdie and no bogeys. His round burst into life after the turn, though, as he reeled off three birdies in a row at the 11th, 12th and 13th before this eagle at the par-four 16th took him to 17 under par and within three of the lead...
