Caddie Mick Doran looks back on magical moments as he bows out

Caddie Mick Doran reflected on some magical moments as he said a fond farewell to the DP World Tour after almost four decades of service on day four of the Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship.

After 38 years, 35 wins, seven Ryder Cups and a host of players by his side, coupled with countless memories to cherish, the popular 56-year-old is departing the fairways to take a well-earned retirement.

Doran has worked with Constantino Rocca, Lee Westwood, Justin Rose, David Howell, Francesco Molinari and Luke Donald among others, but it was alongside Eddie Pepperell that he made his final appearance on Sunday.

When asked which moments stood out for him during his career, Doran said: "Costantino Rocca holing a long putt at St Andrews to get in the play-off, being on the last round with Tiger Woods when he won his first Major, which was the Masters, winning the Australian Open with Lee Westwood in the play-off against Greg Norman in his prime.

"I've just been fortunate. Been in the right place at the right time, so it's been good.

"It's such a great bunch of lads out here and, I'm going to miss them totally."
