It has been confirmed that the Canarias Open de España, with a prize fund of €1,650,000, will take place at Fuerteventura Golf Club from April 22-25, the fourth time that the tournament has been staged on The Canary Islands.
Previously, Angel Miguel won at Tenerife in 1964, Sergio Garcia won at El Cortijo Club in 2002 and Kenneth Ferrie claimed his maiden European Tour title last season when he beat Peter Hedblom and Peter Lawrie in a play-off at Golf Costa Adeje Tenerife.
