Day two digest: 2022 ISPS Handa Championship in Spain

Everything you need to know from day two at Infinitum's Lakes Course.

Infinitum

Scott went low, aces were high, Romain was the wedge king and Richard made a monster in the second round of the 2022 ISPS Handa Championship in Spain.

Here is everything you need to know from Friday in Tarragona.

Jamieson jumps ahead

Scott Jamieson will take a two-shot lead into the weekend after a brilliant 63 on day two. The Scot started the day two shots off the lead at four under having managed to finish his first round on a weather-delayed opening day but he ended it at 11 under, leading the way from overnight leader Tapio Pulkkanen. The Finn fired a 67 to sit a shot clear of local favourite Adrian Otaegui, who carded a 66. "This year I seem to be coming out of the gates very well, I've had some good starts so far and I think it's easier to play the golf course the first two rounds because you're not necessarily playing other people at that point," said Jamieson. "It gets tougher as the tournament goes on so hopefully I can do a good job of continuing to play the golf course."

Holes-in-one are like buses...........

After just three holes-in-one all season so far in 11 events, we had two in a round on Friday. First Kalle Samooja aced the seventh from 154 yards with a nine iron and then Carlos Pigem did the same at the 17th from 206 yards with a six iron. Take a bow, gentlemen.

No putter required

It may not have been from as far out as a hole-on-one, but this was some pretty impressive shot-making from Romain Langasque.

But if you do need the short stick..........

Then do this with it. Just wow Richard Mansell.

Pressure? What pressure?

Eagle required on the last to make the cut - enter, Nicolai Højgaard.
