Everything you need to know from day two at Education City Golf Club.
Sully and Jorge took route 66 to the top of the leaderboard, there was a Swedish surge and Romain was on a roll on day two of the 2020 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.
Here is everything you need to know from Friday in Doha.
Campillo and Sullivan tied at the top
It would be safe to say that Andy Sullivan and Jorge Campillo are both looking for a spark. Both winners, both incredibly consistent and both probably feeling they are not a long way off winning again and winning big. They fired a matching pair of 66s on days one and two to get to ten under but they had a five man group just one shot behind with nine European Tour wins between them. We're set for a fun weekend.
Swede smell of success in Qatar
Alexander Björk and Marcus Kinhult were both at nine under as the yellow and blue flag of Sweden flew high on the leaderboard. Björk had just one top ten in 2019 but found his form in spectacular fashion with a bogey free 63 that was the lowest round of his European Tour career and set a course record - albeit on a new layout. Kinhult had an eventful 65 with an eagle, six birdies and two bogeys and was planing on spending the evening watching the Qatar Open table tennis. The Scandinavian pair will head into the weekend just one back.
Another birdie for @AlexBjorkGolf 🔥

Family affair for the Kinhults
While Marcus was making waves in Doha, his sister was hoping to do the same in Florida as she made her debut on the Symetra Tour. Frida Kinhult is Marcus' younger sister and has had a stellar collegiate career in the United States, rising to become the top ranked female amateur in the world last year. On Friday she was making her debut in the paid ranks at the Florida's Natural Charity Classic and big brother was a keen observer.
"She's the No.1 in the family." 🇸🇪@marcuskinhult with a message for his younger sister Frida who is making her professional debut on the @ROAD2LPGA later today.#QatarMasters pic.twitter.com/h3d6DEklZt

Langasque gets hot
There are purple patches and there are purple patches - around the turn on Friday, Romain Langasque produced one of the greats. First he nearly aced the ninth.
Romain Langasque was this close to an ace 💔

Then on the 11th he produced this piece of absolute brilliance for an eagle.
Magnifique, @Lancaisse! 🙌

Hole-out eagle from the fairway bunker.#QatarMasters pic.twitter.com/RvUmyZfhdE
A hat-trick of birdies followed including a holed bunker shot on the 12th and the Frenchman is just one back.
Different technique - same result
At 240 yards the ninth is an absolute brute of a par three and plenty of players are ending up a long way from the pin after their opening shots. Jack Senior and Pablo Larrazábal both ended up in the same spot off the green. Senior took out a wedge.
That always makes a 240-yard par 3 a little easier @JSenior88 👏#QatarMasters pic.twitter.com/L1bzUiBoQ6

Pablo went for a putter

There is more than one way to skin a cat! Honourable mentions also go to Gavin Green and Scott Jamieson who holed from off the green at the ninth.
