Eugenio Chacarra clinched the 2026 European Swing following the conclusion of the BMW International Open.
Despite missing the cut at at Golfclub München Eichenried, successive victories at the KLM Open and DS Automobiles 83° Open d’Italia helped Chacarra open up a significant gap to Kota Kaneko to secure the $200,000 prize and earn entries to each event of Phase Two of the season - The Back 9.
“It’s awesome," the Spaniard said. "There’s some goals that you put on at the start of the year and one of them was to win a Swing so I’m really proud of myself.
“It’s been solid golf, I don’t think I’ve shot a round over par... my worst score has been even par in Turkey and yesterday finishing bogey-bogey.
“So my swing is great, my game feels great.”
Meanwhile, as the leading available DP World Tour member not otherwise exempt from the European Swing Rankings, Oliver Lindell will join the field for the Genesis Scottish Open - the second Rolex Series event of the season.
