Collin Morikawa

The 24-year-old was born in Los Angeles and attended the University of California, so he’ll feel right at home in San Diego. He won the WGC - Workday Championship earlier this year and hasn’t finished outside the top-14 in his last four starts, including losing a play-off at the Memorial. He’s arguably the best iron player on the planet and leads the PGA Tour in greens in regulation, ‘strokes gained - approach’ and birdie average.

Louis Oosthuizen

The South African finished runner-up in the USPGA Championship at Kiawah Island. He quietly has an excellent record at the US Open and hasn’t finished outside the top-23 in the last six, including finishing 2nd in 2015, 7th in 2019 and 3rd in 2020. His silky swing underpins a strong long game, and his short game has gone up a notch this year – he’s 1st on the PGA Tour in ‘strokes gained - putting’ and 18th in ‘strokes gained - around the green’.

Shane Lowry

The 2019 Open champion finished 9th in the US Open in 2015 and 2nd in 2016, and he’s found his groove again in recent weeks with three top-10s in his last four events. He’s got a magical short game, which is especially important on tough course set-ups when you’ll have to scramble to save your par more often. His putting has let him down this year, but the poa surfaces at Torrey Pines could help him in that area.

Jon Rahm

Robbo is clear to play after his withdrawal from The Memorial due to Covid 19. Great news for him and our Fantasy teams. The Spaniard won his maiden PGA Tour event around Torrey Pines in 2017 as well as capturing two Irish Open titles (2017, 2019). Highlighting his ability to control his ball flight in the wind.

The world number three has had seven top 10’s in his last thirteen major appearances, two of them coming in 2021. Rahm is second in SG total and first in scoring average (69.77) on the PGA Tour.

*Viktor Hovland *

The Norwegian also came 2nd at Torrey Pines earlier in the year. You either love or hate Torrey and players are advised to stay away if you don’t hit it far enough. Hovland averages over 300 yards from the tee, ranks 3rd in average birdies and 4th in bounce back ability. The US Open is the 23 year olds best major so far in his short career, finishing inside the top 15 on both occasions he has played. He also won the US Amateur along the California coast line at Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Won the PGA Tour event held at Torrey Pines in 2019 and says “He loves it around there”. He has the best scoring average around there out of all the players teeing it up this week.

The 2013 US Open Champion has been quiet in regular tour events but saves his best golf for majors. Since his first major win the English man has recorded eleven top 10’s in 29 appearances, two of those coming this year. The forty year old is 12th on the PGA Tour in SG putting and importantly has performed well on Poa Annua greens.
