Fantasy three to watch in Switzerland

Following Thomas Pieters’ superb victory at last week’s Made in Denmark, our attention now turns to the idyllic location of Crans Montana in Switzerland for the Omega European Masters.

Prior to the first tee shot on Thursday morning, europeantour.com’s stats guru has been researching the necessary facts and figures to give you three players worthy of a spot in your Fantasy teams.

Tommy Fleetwood

Pick of the favourites: Tyrrell Hatton

Tyrrell Hatton

After back-to-back top ten finishes at The Open Championship and the US PGA Championship, Tyrrell Hatton is a man in serious form. The 24 year old prefaced his superb Major Championship showing with a second place at the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open at Castle Stuart Golf Links. A share of fifth with Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia at Royal Troon Golf Club was followed by a tenth place finish at Baltusrol Golf Club to cap off an eye-catching month.

Not only does he bring impressive recent form to Switzerland, but the Englishman also has history in the mountains finishing outright third at last year’s event, just two shots shy of Danny Willett’s winning total of 265. He also finished in a tie for third the year before.

Form horse: Alex Noren

With a win and a second place finish amongst his last four starts, 2009 champion Alex Noren arrives at Crans-sur-Sierre GC with reasons to be optimistic. His one-shot victory at the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open in July earned him his fifth European Tour title, and provided the perfect platform for another commanding performance in Scotland one month later.

The Swede reached the final of the Aberdeen Asset Management Paul Lawrie Match Play, only to be ousted by Anthony Wall on the final hole. Add to that three more top ten finishes this season, Noren could well be the man to watch this week.

Wildcard: Tommy Fleetwood

In four appearances at the Omega European Masters, Fleetwood has two top tens to his name, including a share of fifth in 2014. The Englishman shot rounds of 64-68-63-69 on his way to that top five finish two years ago, meaning the 2013 Johnnie Walker Championship winner will be in comfortable surroundings when he tees off tomorrow.

He arrives in Crans Montana on the back of a top 20 finish at the D+D REAL Czech Masters, so could be in good shape to mount another challenge at one of the season’s most picturesque settings.

Those are our three picks, now it’s time to make yours. Whether you are playing theFantasy Race to Dubaior ournew Daily Fantasy Game, be sure to make your picks before Wednesday night. Good luck!
