Football superstar, Gareth Bale, will join a star-studded lineup in this year’s BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am at Wentworth Club on Wednesday, September 13, with tickets on sale now.

Football superstar, Gareth Bale, will join a star-studded lineup in this year’s BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am at Wentworth Club on Wednesday, September 13, with tickets on sale now.

The Welshman, who represented his country on 111 occasions during a glittering career that also saw him lift five Champions League titles with Real Madrid, will be amongst the entertainment and sports stars teeing it up in the traditional curtain raiser of the BMW PGA Championship, the fourth Rolex Series event of the year.

The 33-year-old joins previously announced Hollywood A-lister, Tom Holland, and England cricket stars James Anderson, Stuart Broad and Ben Stokes in the field that will take on the famed West Course ahead of the fourth Rolex Series event of the 2023 season.

Bale, an avid golf fan and player, rose to fame at Tottenham Hotspur before joining Los Blancos for a then world-record fee. Whilst in the Spanish capital, he would go on to add four Club World Cups, three European Super Cups, three LaLiga titles, one Copa Del Rey and three Spanish Super Cups to his trophy cabinet, as well as playing a key role in helping Wales reaching the semi-finals of UEFA Euro 2016, scoring three times in the process.

The BMW PGA Championship will see Rory McIlroy join defending champion and fellow Major winner Shane Lowry in the field at Wentworth Club, where world class action inside the ropes will be complemented by live entertainment on the Showstage in the Spectator Village.

Jax Jones, the GRAMMY®-nominated producer, DJ, and record label executive, confirmed to perform after play concludes on the Saturday night, and an unrivalled atmosphere in the vibrant Spectator Village. Further music acts will be announced soon.The BMW PGA Championship Festival of Golf takes place less than an hour from central London, attracting more than 100,000 spectators. The exciting week will begin with G4D Tour @ BMW PGA Championship, which will see some of the best golfers with disabilities battle it out for the penultimate G4D Tour title of the season at the prestigious venue.

That is followed by the star-studded Wednesday Celebrity Pro-Am which brings together global celebrities and some of golf’s most famous players in a fun-filled curtain raiser to the main event, the BMW PGA Championship, which tees off on Thursday September 14.

BMW group owners will once again receive preferred parking benefits, while park & ride and shuttle services from local train stations will be available free of charge to all spectators.

Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets now to avoid disappointment, with the Green on 18 Premium Experience already sold out for Friday and the new elevated ticket option, Ticket+, sold out for Saturday and Sunday.
