At the heart of the Fan Zone sits a series of interactive golf-based experiences, allowing fans to test their skills in creative and memorable formats:
Light House Landing: invites fans to chip over water onto an island green, set against theming inspired by Fidra Island and the local East Lothian coastline. This activation combines skill with scenic storytelling, celebrating the natural environment around The Renaissance Club.
Return of the Long Putt Challenge replicates the drama of the 18th hole, with a 20-metre putting challenge that mirrors the slope, visuals, and features of the closing stretch.
Summer of Sport Activation introduces a fast-paced, football-inspired challenge where fans hit golf-themed targets using footballs, as a nod to the World Cup taking place this year.
The Arcade offers a futuristic digital zone featuring VR, simulator technology, and interactive golf gaming. Designed as a high-energy, visually engaging space, it brings cutting-edge technology into the fan experience and appeals to younger and tech-driven audiences.
Family Fun
Little Links returns as a dedicated children’s zone, featuring a build-your-own putting course, interactive colouring wall, and a hands-on wildlife experience delivered in collaboration with Zoolab. It also acts as the starting point for the on-course nature trail, encouraging exploration and learning about Scottish wildlife.
The Academy provides under-18 fans with the opportunity to receive professional coaching in a structured, accessible format. With multiple hitting bays and short lessons, this activation aims to introduce and develop golf skills, delivering hundreds of free coaching sessions across the event.
